High School Rangeland Management /CDE - Teacher Resource Guide
Dr. Karen Launchbaugh, professor from the Department of Rangeland Ecology and Management at the University of Idaho and Dr. Lori Moore, professor from the Agricultural and Extension Education Department in partnership with the Idaho Rangeland Resource Commission embarked on a mission to create a range curriculum for Idaho educators.
With the help of grant funding from the David Little Livestock Range Management Endowment fund, we have developed the Rangeland Curriculum and Teaching Resource Guide which includes six modules. The resource guide includes clearly stated learning objectives; background information; student note guides and teacher keys; internet activities; quizzes and student evaluation tools.
The new curriculum can be found at the following url: http://www.cnr.uidaho.edu/what-is-range/Curriculum/
Special thanks to all the teachers who have assisted in the peer review process and who have attended numerous workshops to review the curriculum. With the web-based format, changes/updates and additions can be easily posted.
Please enjoy and get ready to start utilizing this new curriculum in your classroom today!
